Privacy policy — TinyLunch

TinyLunch is an iPhone app published by Rogério Moreira / Engino. It estimates the calories in a meal from a photo, using Apple Intelligence on your device. Contact: me@rgllm.com.

Summary: we do not collect your data

TinyLunch has no account, no server of ours, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising and no tracking. Your photos and meals never leave your iPhone through TinyLunch. The App Store privacy label for TinyLunch is Data Not Collected.

Photos

When you take a photo or choose one from your library, TinyLunch keeps it in memory only while it estimates the meal or until you discard it. Photos are not uploaded and are not saved in History.

If you choose a photo that is stored only in iCloud, iOS may download it to your iPhone first. Apple handles that download, not TinyLunch.

On-device analysis

Photo analysis and your corrections are processed by Apple's on-device Foundation Models (Apple Intelligence). TinyLunch does not use Private Cloud Compute, a third-party nutrition service or any server of its own. The first time, Apple may need to download its model; Apple manages that download.

Calorie figures are estimates, not laboratory measurements or medical advice. TinyLunch is not a medical device.

Saved meals

A meal is saved only when you tap Save. A saved meal contains the foods, portions, preparation notes and calorie estimates, not the photo. History is kept only on your iPhone, in encrypted, protected app storage, and is excluded from device backups. Deleting a meal removes it; deleting TinyLunch removes all saved meals.

Permissions

TinyLunch does not ask for location, microphone, contacts, Health or tracking permission.

Your rights

Because TinyLunch does not collect personal data, we hold no data about you. If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply. For questions, write to me@rgllm.com.
